New Project Safe | R4 West East in Ghent 🚧
With the R4WO project, the Flemish Government is investing in liveability, safety and smooth traffic flow on and around the R4 in the Ghent port area. This is a major project, as it is the second largest active construction site in Flanders. Commissioned by the TM BRAVO4 Civiel construction consortium (a collaboration between contractors Besix and Stadsbader Contractors NV), Safe is once again contributing to the project.
No fewer than nine engineering structures are on the list for which a commitment has already been made. Many cubic metres of poly support, many square metres of H20 supports and many metres of steel profiles will be transported to Ghent. In addition, a steel bridge will be fitted with our suspension construction to ensure that the concrete can be poured above water. Work will start in Q4 2025.
