R4 in Ghent is really gaining traction!
Just half a year ago, we were commissioned by the TM Bravo4 Civiel construction consortium to build nine engineering structures. Now, a good half year later, it’s a good time to take stock. A number of engineering structures (KWN03, KWN91 and the KWN01 railway tunnel) have since been completed and dismantled. The KOG 01 and 02 structures (accounting for a total of 9 PVRs) have both been assembled, with KOG 01 already fitted with the necessary concrete.
The Ringvaart Bridge is supported by a suspension structure and was recently floated into its final position. As far as we’re concerned, this is a major achievement, both by the preparatory teams and the construction teams.
We’re also looking ahead; around the time of the construction industry’s summer break, work will begin on the Piratenbrug – a real showpiece in terms of support structures! Preparations have already begun.
