The story continues
After more than three years of work on the Linkeroever Antwerp section (Knooppunt West, Zwijndrecht and St. Anna), the next interchange is now on the horizon. The Oosterweel interchange is being built at Noordkasteel, with a complex of slip roads to the port and the north of Antwerp. The interchange is sunk into the landscape and connects the Scheldt Tunnel with the Canal Tunnels that connect to the Antwerp Ring Road. Safe is contributing to the construction of the Oosterweel interchange. In total, this amounts to approximately 200,000 m3 of support structures with deck thicknesses of up to 2000 mm. Our work will start around April 2026 and continue until 2028.
The Oosterweel interchange is becoming a reality – together we are making it possible.
