Commissioned by Alheembouw, Safe is helping to build the 13-storey Westwing Tower in Roeselare. This office tower with parking garage for about 350 vehicles is the final piece and showpiece of the Westwing Park. The Westwing Tower brings the ultimate office experience to the most strategic location in West Flanders.

Major raising of bridges Albert Canal
With almost 40 million tonnes of goods transported annually, the Albert Canal is the most important waterway in Flanders. Container transport in particular has seen substantial growth over the past decade. That is why De Vlaamse Waterweg is investing heavily to increase the capacity of the Albert Canal. Bottleneck for inland navigation is the current restriction in clearance height and width under the bridges. By raising the bridges to a clear headway of 9.10 metres, ships with four layers of containers will soon be able to navigate the canal safely and smoothly.

Replacement Bergwijk Bridge Merelbeke challenging project
The 60-year-old Bergwijk bridge in Fraterstraat over the Ringvaart canal in Merelbeke will be replaced by a brand new bridge with three lanes of traffic, a two-way cycle path and a footpath. The current bridge is too low for modern shipping and does not provide enough safe space for road users.

A challenging finale on the IJburgbaai
On the IJburgbaai in Amsterdam, one of the last new construction projects on the site is rising: Jonas, a name that refers to the Biblical story of Jonas and the whale. The unusual residential building will be realised by De Boom Bouw, commissioned by Ballast Nedam West. Safe provides the engineering, delivery and assembly of all support structures.

Bay House and Sofitel Hotel
The Pulse of Katendracht. That's the fancy name of the development near the Wilhelmina Pier in Rotterdam. Part of it is the new construction of the Bay House and Sofitel Hotel. These are respectively a very luxurious residential building with 110 flats and an exclusive 5-star hotel with 200 rooms, a restaurant, a rooftop bar and space for events. Together, they bear the apt working name of The View Rotterdam.
